It's funny how Mark quits the board last month then this month shows up with a bunch of his buddies to try and take over the fair board again. What a joke! Mark is a joke!
Mark is forgetting, if he hadn't quit and stomped out of last month's meeting when he didn't get his way (after trying to cut off discussion and force a vote), then he would be in a position to lead. I am sick of the drama. Let the sitting officers plan a fair with the community. If anyone wants drama, please stay home...this isn't about you (Mark, Dan, et al). If you want to help put on a fair, come to the meeting and contribute your time and talents, not in tearing others down, but in lifting up the community. You can tell who wants to actually put on a fair, they are the ones who stayed in the meeting until it was adjourned. Btw, did you see how much business was accomplished in about 1/2 hour at the end of the meeting? that's how a fair happens.
I just watch the first 35 minutes of this meeting and I did watch last months meeting. I have a few questions. Dan was hired to build the building right or am I wrong? It seems to me that Dan shows up to try and get what he wants then leaves with he don't get it! But what does Dan gain from all of this? Is he covering his ass from something. Where can I get all of the minutes?

This is what I've heard and after watching both of these videos it is looking to be more true. I heard that for some reason some people are trying to stop the audit from happening why? Now I want to see the audit done just to see what it finds. I watched the fiscal court meeting were Mark called Kenny French a liar and MJ said that an audit was going to be done and Spike and Kenny both said that's ok we get audited every year. But what I've heard is that Kenny is trying to get it stopped by any means possible why? what does he have to hide and I'm just asking because I don't see how Kenny would be effected at all. This don't make sense to me and I consider myself a smart person so whats up?

Wonder if the self appointed directors can be charged with anything over the building? They neglected to do their job. But I guess everyone should look at this from David Halls point of view This county hasnt done things by the law in the past, so why do it now? I hope the audit comes out clean but from the way these people(DAN AND DAVID) are acting it makes you wonder. I along with many others have thought of Dan as a good church going man, but I have to ask What does an honest man like himself have against an audit?

After watching this video the guy in the green shirt I think his name is Bryan just makes me wanna puke. He thinks he knows everything, don't see how the board members can even stand to listen to him talk. I don't know all the by-laws of the Fair Board but if a few of the officers wasn't voted in then they need to step away. Glad to see Dave Hull step up and take some action. I sure hope he gets to the bottom of it and makes sure the officers in there now will be gone. Some of you people calling Dan fake you should be ashamed of yourself. He is a good honest christian man only trying to do what he and others thinks is best for the Fair Board. I had heard the Fair Board is suing the County, if this is true than that is the saddest thing I have ever heard in my life!! As I clearly remember the County owns that land. It would be funny if the County stepped in and said either you step down or no fair! Seems like as of now that there is no President or Vice President cause as the video states they were not VOTED in!!!! All this is sure a mess again hopefully Dave Hull gets to the bottom of it.....

Mark was president but stepped down, then Hargis did what a vice president does and moved to president after the president resigned. Know more facts or these people before you go off and say that crap. You must be very close to dan and david because I don't think anyone else will agree with you.
Maybe people should rethink their 'confidence' in a man (David Hull) who is to ignorant to realize that he was supporting a vote of 'inconfidentality', which doesn't even exisit. Inconfidentality is not even a word! All David Hull and his 'people' did was show that when you educate an idiot all you have is an educated idiot. By watching the video you can easily tell that half the people went to the meeting to cause problems, they did not have intentions on helping put on a good fair, they proved this by walking out once again. At least the new fair board officers don't pout and stomp out when things don't go their way. Everyone who stayed proved to me that they are there to put on a nice fair this year. I am glad to see that we finally have leadership that is going to stand their ground and have the best interest of this community in mind, and hold people responsible for their actions.

Denny French, who is a preacher, also claims to be a good 'Christian' man. Just because you claim something, doesn't mean that you are. Example: Where Denny lied to and cheated Bill Spry over the radio tower. This is only one of many examples. So if you are going to use the word 'Christian' please do not use it so loosely.

How was Rose Sullivan on the Board of Directors when she was the President of the fair board. Once again that goes to show why the fair got into the shape it did. I watched the video and I believe when the one gentleman asked David Hull when the board of directors meet, he admitted they had never meet befor. So what that tells me is the presedent of the fair board was correct, when he told the the gentleman who was holding the fair book, questioning it, that they did not exist only on paper.
Referring to the comment about Dave Hull supporting the "InConfidentiality" vote, from what I seen on the video, Dave Hull didn't say much after that vote was taken. Dave Hull said what he needed to say and didn't say much after that. Dave Hull is a smart man he cannot be faulted for others actions!

This is all just nonsense and some people are wanting to make sure things are done the correct way by going by the by-laws. Dave Hull is a very smart man and knows what's right and what's wrong. The Board of Directors has the authority to remove the officers in there now! The Board of Directors needs to call a meeting and get those people out of there as soon as they can! I honestly believe you need a few officers on the fair board that knows what it takes to put on a fair!

If anyone thinks those people are going to be put into office, I hope they know they won't have a good fair. I was told by someone that has been to most of the meetings that some of the payouts for the events is just uncalled for. Paying out a thousand dollars for a corn hole tournament, now that is just CRAZY!!! Can some one answer this question. How do you get money to put on each event?
I have enjoyed coming to the fair for years and I hope and pray that all of this turmoil will stop. I have a daughter who enjoys the fair and being in the Pageants. I know the rides at the fair could have been better than what we have had but my family and I still enjoyed every minute of it. I think there needs to be more things to entertain the parents as the kids are off riding rides. Just hope the fair board pulls off a great fair.

Why don't all you people wait until after the fair is over before you start complaining about the people on the fair board. They are just trying to give Gallatin County a good fair for a change. Give them a chance. Then if you don't like it you will have a right to complain.
This is Mark Waller... i am not afraid to put my name on here... the smart asses on here are mostly the ones that are producing this i will set the record straight... i did call all of the people that could vote at a fairboard meeting... but .. i did not tell them what i wanted them there for... this is how i do business.. i wanted reasonable people to sit and listen to what is going on at the fairboard and to make a conscious decision. most of the ones that came were upset with me because i would not tell them what was going on...things were going well too well i see now and thats what some people did not want to see.. and they left after no matter what we voted as a group and was ignored .... as Hargis stated,,, the state does mandate 5 people from the state department of agriculture.. the county extension agent... the 4H agent the farm bureau agent and the FFA advisors... they are on the board every year and are never voted on.... it is totally political.. and just so everyone knows... that was david hulls decision to put me back in as president... most good people in the county either called me or him on that matter.. bottom line is... they voted in a contract that they voted down until after i left that i worked out with the county... and the magistrates spoke up to discuss the other matters at a later date... we did not need a lawyer.. i believe 30 people can make a conscious decision and move forward... this is a Hargis Davis and Brian Roach dog and pony show..,, the people will see just how things end up... i just know i have done nothing wrong and everyone knows that... people just need to think about one thing... would you give anything to anyone that was going to sue everyone or had to get an attorney's opinion on everything?

You say you brought your friends so they could make a conscious decision on their own... then why did you quit in the first place when you didn't get your own way. That doesn't sound like someone who wants what is "best" for the people, that sounds like someone who wants his way regardless and throws a tantrum when it doesn't happen the way he wants it to. And THAT is how you DID business. And for some reason you blame the "producer". I didn't edit that in, I did no "special effects", that was simply how you reacted. All I did was put it up for the public to see.
And if you saw the video where you resigned, you will see that Hargis voted WITH you in the beginning. So maybe if you wouldn't have reacted in the fashion that you did, you could have spoke with the people at the meeting about what you proposed and persuaded them as Hargis did. That is what a president does. A president doesn't leave when he doesn't get what he wants. He fights for it. He may win or he may lose, either way he doesn't give up.
Mr. Waller made the comment in his post that he didn't tell people what they were voting on, because he wanted it to be fair. I don't know how it could be fair when he told us that he would give us more land for the the 4H if we would stand up with him to get rid of Hargis, MJ and Bryan.
I have watched the videos and read the comments about the GC fair board meetings. It is very evident to me that the current Officers and committee members who stay for the entire meetings sincerely want to have the best fair possible. They have no axe to grind and no hidden agenda. They appear to me to be the kind of citizens every community should have volunteering for community projects such as the GC fair. I do not live in the county but you can be sure that my family and I will attend the fair this year.

Mark Waller was the one who set the pay out on the cornhole tournament he was the one also in charge in it.
