Those voting for the increase keeps trying to convince the public that it's for the children & the teachers when in fact we know that it will continue to go toward new buildings, unnecessary positions & equipment in upper management.
Since the schools belong to the public, I suggest that those people who are losing their homes in foreclosure be allowed to have a place to stay in one of the buildings for 30 days while they find new homes. We know in part these high taxes helped displace them. As a taxpayer, I don't have a problem with that idea.
Also, let's cut Dot Perkins loose as soon as we can and replace those members who refuse to be reasonable in deciding how much the taxpayers can afford to pay to the schools.

How long before the house of cards collapses?
County raises taxes people move out property values go down, tax collections go down.

How can a County with 4 schools provide the same education as one with 40? Answer is they can't.
Too much goes to administration. Higher level teachers are replaced with with lower level teachers.

How much did the giant letters in spelling out GCHS cost in the board room ? The more they spend, the more they document, we need more money! They should be ashamed!!

Why do the school staff get a wage increase, Dot. Dot. Dot., when other state workers are taking a ten percent decrease and getting furlough days? CUT THE FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how we pay MORE, yet get LESS for our hard earned dollars when it comes to fiscal accountability ! The smoke screen is "The children's precious education". I dare the board of education to show us the children that graduated GCHS that are making today what Dot Perkins and others are........hmmmmmmmmm

Funny that Dot made the comment that when she found out her propert was being questioned!! Only then she wanted it reevaluated??? Am I the only one that see that as a little bit fishy? Boy did she get defensive when she knew she was in the wrong. She is such a sorry excuse of whats good for the children. What would be good is to get her outta there!!

we still have time for a sign in, at the clerks office, to run for our children. we have to get perkins, spawn and the other three out of the circle they have made. i'm going to go monday an sign up as a sign in to run for the board of education. if you do some checking you will find that in our surrounding counties when the heads ofeducations give there self a raise,so they could get a bigger pention, and had there home reevaluated they reitired sat out for a while and then came back and were rehired so now they get retirement benfits and a salary. i hope that we don't let that happen to us (our kids). I think a drivers ed. class would have been more beneficial for an elective than a piano elective maybe with that we could stop our kids from scattering themselves all over the raod. CONSIDER THAT! SORRY FOR THE MISPELLED WORDS I'M AN IGNORANT HILLBILLY!

Kinda of curious on something. Majority of the room looks like Glencoe residence. Last paper I read, Anita McFarland resigned her seat which means any Glencoe resident can apply. Everyone has all these complaints. If you think you can do a better job maybe you should apply. NO ELECTION, NO ONE TO RUN AGAINST!!!!
